Ten Hag's Ronaldo grievance four years late says more about his managerial insecurity than anything that happened at Old Trafford.  •  Berahino swapping the Premier League for Burundi's dugout is either admirable conviction or a very creative way to admit it's over.  •  Juventus fining Bremer for telling the truth about a 3-0 home hammering is exactly the kind of institutional cowardice that keeps them from winning Europe.  •  Gomez's 56-yard strike against Palace is the sort of thing that makes football ridiculous in the best possible way, and Enciso knew it immediately.  •  Marschall's ankle ligament damage is Millwall's season in microcosm: everything breaks before you can build anything.

Millwall goalkeeper Marschall sidelined with ankle ligament damage after Lincoln collision

Filip Marschall will spend an extended period unavailable after sustaining ankle ligament damage during Millwall's 2-2 draw with Lincoln City on Saturday, according to reporting by Southwark News Millwall. The 23-year-old goalkeeper, signed from Stevenage on deadline day, was injured sixteen minutes into the match at The Den when he collided with the back rail of the goal whilst collecting a free kick. He was replaced by Max Crocombe at half-time.

Manager Neil Harris told the club's internal news outlet that Marschall had damaged his ligaments in the incident and would require a surgical opinion to assess the extent of the injury. Harris stated the goalkeeper would not be available in the near term, describing the setback as disappointing. Crocombe is expected to start in goal against Portsmouth on Saturday, with Harris praising the deputy's performance in the second half against Lincoln, noting two notable saves.

Marschall's injury compounds goalkeeper problems at Millwall this season. Lukas Jensen, the club's previous first-choice option, missed the entirety of the 2025-26 campaign with Achilles and quad injuries. He was expected to resume as the primary goalkeeper for the current term but suffered another quad injury during training in late August, forcing Crocombe into the opening matches before Marschall took over.

Harris suggested Jensen's recovery timeline would not be lengthy, though he did not specify when the goalkeeper might return to action. Marschall had made five starts before suffering his ankle injury, leaving Crocombe as the immediate solution to the goalkeeping challenge.
