Pickford didn't need to be asked the question—he knew the moment it left his hands.  •  Vitor Matos can dress it up however he wants, but Swansea just got mugged by West Ham and everyone in that room knows it.  •  Osasuna and Racing will play a match tomorrow and one of them will win it.  •  Martinez got booed off on a stretcher and that's the kind of moment that defines a player's relationship with a club forever.  •  Newcastle's anger is justified, but so is Manzambi's goal, which means they've got nothing to do but get better.

Yamal stars as Barcelona equal LaLiga record with five-goal Betis demolition

Barcelona matched the best-ever start to a LaLiga season by securing their ninth consecutive victory, according to reporting by ESPN FC. The Catalan club defeated Real Betis 5-2 in Seville, equalling the record set by Real Madrid in 1961-62 and again in 1968-69.

Lamine Yamal proved the decisive figure, opening the scoring with a solo goal in the tenth minute. The 19-year-old Spain international has now recorded nine goals and nine assists across 11 appearances in all competitions this season. Barcelona coach Hansi Flick described Yamal's opening strike as unbelievable and praised the teenager's focus and commitment despite the considerable pressure at such a young age.

The match remained competitive throughout, with Valentín Gómez equalising for Betis before the half-hour mark. Rodri restored Barcelona's advantage in the 41st minute in his first goal for the club. Gabriel Jesus extended the lead early in the second half, whilst Abde Ezzalzouli pulled a goal back for the visitors.

A Giovani Lo Celso strike for Betis was ruled out following a handball in the build-up by Cucho Hernández. Flick characterised the encounter as intense and amazing for supporters of the sport.
